Our alumni association exists to help brothers keep in touch AND to keep Sigma Chi moving forward. We’re excited about the new features on the website including a calendar of events, photos, and news. Check back often to keep up to date with the Gamma Alumni of Sigma Chi.

Sigma Chi Gamma Chapter News

Derby Days

Derby Days continued to be a great success this year as the Brothers participated in events Monday through Saturday with Kappa Kappa Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, Delta Delta Delta, and Delta Gamma sororities to raise money for Children's Miracle Network. Derby Days Chairmen Nick Dedonno, Ryan Jordan and Johnny West organized the events of the week which included Ms. Derby Days, Sorority Serenades, Pie-a-sig, Derby chase, sorority skits, sign-a-sig BBQ, and the winning sorority party. Each sorority participarted in Iron Chef and prepared a meal for the house.

Initiated Brothers

The Brothers are excited to have initiated thirteen new members into the Fraternity. The new members have proven that they are dedicated and motivated young men who want to become part of this organization and improve our chapter. The new brothers include: Sam Newman, Jordan Kalish, Michael Davidson, Justin Miller, Robbie Woodruff, Will Abbey, Kevin Barber, Aiden Senner, Syed Danial Rehman, Hunter Carmen, Bobby Kuhlenberg, Wilson Land, and Phillip Forsgren. Everyone in the house is proud of what they have achieved and are looking forward to next year and the future of the Gamma Chapter.

Baptism Party

The Brothers of the Gamma Chapter are in the second week of pledging 13 freshmen to the fraternity. Our baptism party on Friday ran very well and all of the pledges seem to be excited about what they will encounter in the weeks ahead. The Brothers all helped in the party organization and our social chair Nick Dedonno and Consul Brandon Luttinger made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the night. On Satuday the 7th, the all-Ohio Sigma Chi Province workshop was held in the campus center at Ohio Wesleyan.

A Great Start

The Brothers of the gamma chapter are having a great time back in the house after a much needed break. We have a solid group of freshmen who are coming up to the house almost everyday even in the freezing cold. Freshmen will sign their bids on Monday the 26th and the Brothers are very exited for pledging to begin. The Brothers will enjoy a cooked meal this weekend provided by the school for winning the Christmas light contest last semester and we are all looking forward to it! I plan to keep all alumni informed about any new chapter events as pledging starts.
